The GDP figure for the second quarter of 2020 has been published today. It was a much-awaited release given the strong uncertainty about the impact of two radically different stages of the coronavirus pandemic: the massive lockdowns, and their subsequent lifting. The intensity of the drop in economic activity in Spain is unprecedented and we stress the importance of a strong analysis of the data.
