One of the biggest threats in the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic is the emergence of a significant mutation of the virus. One such mutation has been identified a few days ago in the UK, and it could be much more contagious than previous strains.
Could vaccines no longer be valid because of this mutation?
Does this mutation somehow alter the remote risk of re-infection of people who have already undergone COVID-19 (natural immunity)?
