Over the last few months, the possibility of reinfections of SARS-CoV-2 had been on the table. Now, three cases have been confirmed in Hong Kong, Belgium and the Netherlands. The scientific community have warned that, although they are isolated cases for the time being, reinfections are frequent in viruses that cause infections in the respiratory tract, such as the novel coronavirus.
