China is once again in the midst of the pandemic storm after lifting covid-related restrictions much faster than expected. In this analysis of short-term macroeconomic events, we analyse the health and economic consequences of the measure in the short term, in order to anticipate how the transition from a "zero covid" policy to a normalised scenario may take place over the course of 2023.
