In a context in which large economies (Italy, Germany, USA, China…) begin to give off worrying signals of economic slowdown, Spain has once again surprised by accelerating growth, not decelerating, as we expose in this report. In our opinion, it is very important to understand the reasons behind this upside surprise in order to gain an insight into the longer-term trends that could again result in a growth pattern in 2019 that differs from mainstream and government's consensus, also with a unique risk equation.
