Through the summer, media reports about the coronavirus outbreaks in Spain have been quite alarming. We return to analyse the situation at hand in depth, dissecting the evolution of the key variables we have been following since March and comparing them to the first wave and peak of the outbreak. We draw conclusions about the likelihood of further confinement measures, and on the reasonable timeframe for eradication of the virus. To that end, we have analysed the latest scientific research on vaccines- and group immunity since we are convinced that understanding the health situation is essential for accurately projecting the performance of the economy.
