With the regulatory indecision the Spanish residential real estate sector finds itself in, a measure with potentially relevant impacts has been published in the form of government guarantees for the purchase of housing by young people. This report analyses the empirical evidence associated with this type of measure to estimate the most significant quantitative effects it could have on the demand for houses, both used and new, as well as on prices over the coming years.
